Ronda Rousey Signs Up for Napa Valley Fight Night

Napa Knockout, a charity fight night, will take place at Raymond Vineyards in St. Helena, Napa Valley, on July 25. The event will feature a night of boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) bouts, with proceeds benefiting the California State Athletic Commission Fighter Pension Fund. The fund supports retired combat athletes.

Who's Participating?

Ronda Rousey, a UFC Hall of Famer and former bantamweight champion, will be among the scheduled guests. Other participants include MMA pioneer Gina Carano, UFC and boxing veteran Nate Diaz, longtime promoter Scott Coker, and unbeaten boxing contender Vergil Ortiz Jr.

What's the Fight Card?

The lineup includes several top prospects in boxing, kickboxing, and MMA. The event will feature a three-round amateur light heavyweight MMA bout between Windsor native Phil "Scooby" Wright (1-0) and Redding's Eddy Herrera (1-0). Napa native Antonio Vasquez (1-0) will face Tre Orlando (7-0, amateur record) in a three-round lightweight MMA bout. A three-round kickboxing match between Bay Area fighters Matt Baker (4-3-1) and Tony Charles (3-5) is also scheduled. A boxing exhibition featuring San Francisco Junior Olympian and 24-time national champion Marley McNealy (17-2, 5 KOs) against an opponent to be announced will take place.
